Myanmar’s Farmers Provided With Macadamia Saplings, Husking Machines Under LMC Special Fund

YANGON, May 26 (NNN-MNA) – Farmers in central Myanmar’s Pyin Oo Lwin town, have been recently provided with macadamia saplings and husking machines, under the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation (LMC) Special Fund, the Chinese Embassy to Myanmar said, in a statement, yesterday.

The Lancang-Mekong Region Macadamia Farmers’ Agricultural Production and Technical Development project, was recently implemented in Mandalay region’s Pyin Oo Lwin town, and 118 farmers were provided with 30,282 Macadamia saplings, and 206 sets of Macadamia husking machines, the statement said.

With the fund of 384,300 U.S. dollars, the project is being implemented in Shan State, Kachin State and Mandalay Region.

The three-year project, which started in 2021, and continues until 2023, will practically benefit the macadamia farmers in Myanmar, the statement said.– NNN-MNA
