Synthetic Drugs Supply Channel Eliminated In Kyrgyzstan

BISHKEK, May 19 (NNN-KNA) – A network of stable channels for the transportation and sale of synthetic drugs to Central Asia via the Internet, has been liquidated, the press service of the country’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, said yesterday.

The Service for Combating Illicit Drug Trafficking of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, together with the special services of Kazakhstan, have carried out a joint special operation, to eliminate the activities of a transnational drug group, on the territory of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, said the ministry.

From Nov, 2021, to Apr, 2022, four citizens of Kazakhstan and three citizens of Kyrgyzstan were detained during the operation, said the ministry.

In addition, two drug laboratories for the production of synthetic drugs were liquidated. Over 31 kg of various types of drugs were seized from illegal circulation. Accomplices and organisers of the drug channel have been detained.

Estimated profit from the sale of drugs amounted to more than 1.9 million U.S. dollars, said the ministry.– NNN-KNA
