Malaysia Reports 2,935 New COVID-19 Infections, 10 New Deaths

KUALA LUMPUR, Apr 29 (NNN-BERNAMA) – Malaysia reported 2,935 new COVID-19 infections as of midnight, bringing the national total to 4,443,318, according to the health ministry.

There are nine new imported cases and 2,926 local transmissions, data released on the ministry’s website showed.

A further 10 deaths have been reported, bringing the death toll to 35,536.

The ministry reported 7,585 new recoveries, bringing the total number of cured and discharged to 4,354,006.

There are 53,776 active cases, 84 are being held in intensive care and 56 of those are in need of assisted breathing.

The country reported 32,106 vaccine doses administered yesterday and 85 percent of the population have received at least one dose, 81.7 percent are fully vaccinated and 49.1 percent have received boosters.– NNN-BERNAMA
