Scores Of People Feared Dead As Mini Market Building Collapses In Indonesia’s Kalimantan

JAKARTA, Apr 19 (NNN-ANTARA) – Scores of people are feared dead after the collapse of a mini market building, in the Banjar district of South Kalimantan province, yesterday afternoon, with evacuation underway, a top rescuer said.

The incident occurred at about 4:30 p.m. local time (0930 GMT), burying many people inside the building, Head of Operation Unit of the Provincial Search and Rescue Office, told the press by phone from the scene.

Rescuers from the office and personnel of the disaster management and mitigation agency are striving to search for the victims, Head of the Disaster Management and Mitigation Agency of the province, Syafrudin Syukur, told the media.– NNN-ANTARA
