Head-On Bus Crash In Bangladesh Leaves Eight Dead

DHAKA, Bangladesh, March 28 (NNN-BSS) – A head-on collision between a passenger bus and a micro-bus, left eight people dead and dozens of others injured, early today (Thursday), in Bangladesh’s Chattogram district, 242 km south-east of the capital Dhaka, a police official said.

Aman, a local police official, told journalists, “Eight passengers were killed on the spot, in the head-on collision between the passenger bus and the micro-bus.”

All the deceased were aboard the micro-bus, he said.

The road accident, that occurred on a highway at Chattogram’s Lohagara sub-district, at around 1:00 a.m. local time, Thursday, also left 25 passengers injured, he said.

Local media feared the death toll may rise.

According to police official, all the injured were rushed to local hospitals and clinics.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.– NNN-BSS
