DALLAS, March 11 (Bernama-BUSINESS WIRE) — Trees are essential to our existence and do so much to enhance our world. They clean our water, air, and improve our health but are often taken for granted. Mary Kay, a global sustainability advocate today announced their continued support of the Arbor Day Foundation’s reforestation work in the south Liaoning Province of China by planting 8,000 trees in 2022.
Through the collaborative efforts of Mary Kay and the Arbor Day Foundation, pressing issues facing our planet are being addressed with lasting and measurable results. China is one of the countries in the world most affected by desertification. Since 2020, Mary Kay’s tree planting projects in the regions of Gansu Province and the western portion of Liaoning Province have focused on the removal of carbon dioxide, improved water quality and quantity, and the absorption of air pollutants.
