Azerbaijan proposes Paraguay to do business in oil, gas

ASUNCION, March 7 (NNN-Prensa Latina) — The government of Azerbaijan invited Paraguay to participate in doing business in fields such as oil, gas and food in the country, its Ambassador Rashad Aslanov said during a meeting with Foreign Minister Euclides Acevedo.

The diplomat also proposed Acevedo to explore those and other exchange channels, the Paraguayan Information Agency added.

Azerbaijan are one of the major exporters from Europe and the world with cooperation experiences in several Latin American countries, Aslanov said regarding the posibility of doing business in those fields with Paraguay.

The Azerbaijani ambassador said that his country is planning a complementarity with Paraguay that includes the purchase of Paraguayan products such as meat, stevia (sweetener) and other foodstuffs.

Azerbaijan can also contribute in areas such as technology, energy, oil, through agreements that will benefit both parties, the ambassador said.

At the end of the meeting, the Azerbaijani ambassador extended an invitation to Foreign Minister Acevedo and President Mario Abdo Benitez for them to pay a visit to his country.

For his part, Acevedo expressed his government’s willingness to establish new business relations with Azerbaijan and further strengthen the existing ones. — NNN-PRENSA LATINA
