DHAKA, Mar 2 (NNN-BSS) – A three-day fair has been underway in Bangladesh’s capital, Dhaka, to raise safe vegetable production awareness in the country.
Bangladeshi Agriculture Minister, Mohammad Abdur Razzaque, inaugurated the National Vegetable Fair 2022, on Monday, which is under the theme of growing safe vegetables to ensure health and nutrition all year round.
Speaking as the chief guest at a seminar on the sidelines of the fair, the minister said, Bangladesh has achieved self-sufficiency in granular food. “We’re now focusing on ensuring safe and nutritious food,” he said.
Scores of government and private institutions are participating in the fair, which will continue until today. The fair also attracted small entrepreneurs from various regions of the country.
The participants put on show a wide range of products, especially fresh vegetables and seeds, from local and foreign sources.– NNN-BSS
