Four Killed, Eight Injured In Passenger Bus Crash In Southern Myanmar

YANGON, Myanmar, March 26 (NNN-MNA) – Four people were killed and eight others injured, after a passenger bus crashed, in Myanmar’s southern Bago region, said the Ministry of Home Affairs today (Tuesday).

The crash took place in Kyauktaga township, in the early hours of Monday.

With 42 passengers on board, the passenger bus tried to overtake a truck in front, but crashed into the truck, on Yangon-Mandalay highway at 3:03 a.m. local time.

The injured were brought to the nearby Myo Chaung township hospital and Pyu General Hospital for treatment.

The bus driver was charged for negligent driving by the highway police.– NNN-MNA
