Arab Summit Scheduled For March 31, Arab League Delegation In Tunis Now

CAIRO, Egypt, March 26 (NNN-MENA) – An Arab League (AL) delegation headed for Tunis on Monday (yesterday), in preparation for the upcoming 30th Arab Summit, slated for Sunday, March 31.

The summit’s preparatory meetings are scheduled to be held on March 26 (today), Arab League Secretary General’s Spokesman, Mahmoud Afifi, said.

The summit’s draft agenda comprises around 20 items and files so far, he said, asserting keenness on providing a favourable atmosphere for the media coverage of the event.

The Arab foreign ministers will hold a meeting on March 29, and on March 30, Arab leaders will be welcomed in Tunis, he said.

The summit will be attended by UN Secretary General, António Guterres, High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini, Head of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki, and Secretary General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Yousef Al-Othaimeen, he added.– NNN-MENA
