6.0-Magnitude Earthquake Hits Western Mongolia

ULAN BATOR, Jan 18 (NNN-XINHUA) – A 6.0-magnitude earthquake, hit the western Mongolian province of Govi-Altai yesterday evening, according to the country’s Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics.

The quake occurred around 46 km north-east of Altai Soum of the province, at 11:04 p.m. local time, the institute said.

The quake was felt strongly across the province, however, there is no immediate report of damage yet, it added.– NNN-XINHUA
