FAIZABAD, Oct 29 (NNN-BIA) – Authorities in Afghanistan’s northern Badakhshan province have launched the reconstruction of a 20-km-long road, in the mountainous region, a local media outlet, the Radio Pamir, reported today.
Work for reconstruction of the essential road, according to media outlet, started on Thursday from Jazgon area. The road would connect the provincial capital Faizabad to Ragh, Shighnan and Darwaz districts.
The new administration would do its best to serve the nation, the radio quoted the Badakhshan deputy provincial governor, Abu Mohammad Ahmadi, as saying.
According to local officials, the reconstruction work of the essential 20-km-long road would cost three million U.S. dollars.
Similarly, authorities have completed the construction of a nearly 4-km road in Khawaja Dokoh district, of the northern Jawzjan province, Mayor of the district, Mawlawi Mohammad Naem Nemani said, today.– NNN-BIA
