THE HAGUE, March 18 (NNN-AGENCIES) — A man opened fire in a tram at the 24 Oktoberplein square in Utrecht, the Netherlands, on Monday, wounding several people, according to local media.
The incident is reported to have taken place around 10am local time.
Police have cordoned off the area. One person is said to have been fatally wounded while several more people have been injured.
Police have yet to ascertain whether it is an act of terrorism.
