India’s Exports Grow 21 Percent Y-O-Y In Sept

NEW DELHI, Oct 15 (NNN-PTI) – India’s overall exports, including merchandise and services combined, are estimated to hit 54.06 billion U.S. dollars in Sept, 2021, rising 21.44 percent over the same period last year, and 26.03 percent over Sept, 2019, official data showed.

Merchandise exports in Sept, 2021, stood at 33.79 billion dollars, as compared to 27.56 billion dollars in Sept, 2020, thus exhibiting a positive growth of 22.63 percent.

The estimated value of services export for Sept, 2021 was 20.26 billion dollars, increasing 19.50 percent over Sept, 2020, said the data, released by the federal ministry of commerce and industry.

Overall imports in Sept are estimated to be 68.49 billion dollars, registering a growth of 70 percent over the same period last year and an increase of 44.11 percent over Sept, 2019.

The country’s overall exports, including merchandise and services combined, are estimated to be 312.47 billion dollars in Apr-Sept, 2021, up 40.52 percent over the same period last year and 18.30 percent over Apr-Sept, 2019, said the ministry’s data.

Overall imports for the same period are likely to reach 341.10 billion dollars, growing 64.91 percent over the same period last year and 9.31 percent over Apr-Sept, 2019, respectively.– NNN-PTI
