Iran Reports 14,607 New COVID-19 Cases, 5,638,735 In Total

TEHRAN, Oct 5 (NNN-IRNA) – Iran’s health ministry yesterday reported, 14,607 new COVID-19 cases, taking the country’s total infections to 5,638,735.

The pandemic has so far claimed 121,347 lives in the country, after 238 new deaths were registered in the past 24 hours, said Iran’s Ministry of Health and Medical Education.

A total of 5,115,796 people have recovered from the disease, or been discharged from hospitals across the country, while 5,727 remain in intensive care units, according to the ministry.

By yesterday, 41,809,085 Iranians have received their first doses of COVID-19 vaccines, and 16,950,755 of them have taken two jabs.
