At Least 90 Palestinian Protesters Injured By Israeli Soldiers In West Bank: Medics

RAMALLAH, Oct 2 (NNN-WAFA) – At least 90 Palestinian protesters were injured yesterday by Israeli soldiers, in clashes near the northern West Bank city of Nablus, the Palestinian medics and witnesses said.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said in a statement that, at least 90 Palestinians were injured by Israeli soldiers, in the clashes that broke out in the villages of Beita and Beit Dajan, near the city.

It said that, 30 protesters were shot by rubber-coated metal bullets, and 60 others inhaled tear gas, fired by the Israeli soldiers to disperse them.

Yesterday afternoon, witnesses said, dozens of Palestinian demonstrators gathered in the two villages, waved Palestinian flags, chanted slogans against Israel, burned tires, and threw stones at the Israeli armed forces in the area.

For nearly five months, Palestinians from Beita and neighbouring villages have been holding almost daily protests against Israel’s construction of settlement outpost on Jabal Sabih mount, which is adjacent to the village.– NNN-WAFA
