Singapore Reports 1,647 New COVID-19 Cases

SINGAPORE, Sept 28 (NNN-CNA) – Singapore reported 1,647 new COVID-19 cases yesterday, bringing the total tally in the country to 89,539.

Of the new cases, 1,280 were in the community, 362 were in migrant worker dormitories and five were imported cases, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said in a statement.

A total of 1,288 COVID-19 cases are currently warded in hospitals, with 194 cases of serious illness, requiring oxygen supplementation, and 27 in critical condition, in the intensive care units, said the MOH.

As of Sunday, 82 percent of the local population has been fully vaccinated, and 85 percent has received at least one dose, according to the ministry.– NNN-CNA
