Pakistan Records 2,333 New COVID-19 Cases, 1,230,238 In Total

ISLAMABAD, Sept 23 (NNN-APP) – Pakistan reported 2,333 new COVID-19 cases yesterday, the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) said.

The overall tally of the infected people climbed to 1,230,238 across the country, the department, leading Pakistan’s campaign against the pandemic, said.

Pakistan’s southern Sindh province has been the worst hit, with a total of 452,267 cases, followed by eastern Punjab province, where the virus was detected in 424,701 people.

A total of 27,374 people died of COVID-19 in Pakistan, including 47 patients who lost their lives to the pandemic over the last 24 hours, the NCOC said.

The country currently has 61,947 active cases, while 1,140,917 others have recovered.

The vaccination drive in the country has also picked up pace, with 24,868,018 people fully inoculated, according to the latest official data.– NNN-APP
