TEL AVIV, March 15 (NNN-AGENCIES) – Two rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip toward the greater Tel Aviv district on Thursday night, the Israeli army said, without giving further information.

The Jerusalem Post reported one of the rockets were intercepted by Israel’s Iron Dome missile defense system while the other landed in an open area.

Israel’s Channel 10 news, citing anonymous military officials, said the rockets were Iranian-made Fajr rockets.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility. Israeli media outlet Ynetnews, citing a source from Gaza, reported Islamic Jihad, the second strongest group in the Palestinian enclave, fired the rockets.

An Israeli military spokesperson said the incident was under investigation. There were no immediate reports of any casualties or damage
