Leopard Attacks Six Persons Including Forest Officer In India

MUMBAI, India, March 11 (NNN-PTI) – Six persons, including a forest officer, were injured, after a leopard attacked them on Sunday afternoon, in Nashik district of India’s Maharashtra state, media reported today (Monday).

Conditions of the five villagers and the forest officer were said to be stable, after they were admitted to hospital for treatment.

A rescue team has been deployed by the forest office, to safely capture the leopard.

In Feb, a leopard was seen at a shopping mall in Thane city of Maharashtra, which was later tranquilised and taken to safety, by the forest officials.– NNN-PTI
