DHAKA, Jul 25 (NNN-BSS) – Bangladesh reported 6,780 new COVID-19 cases and 195 new deaths yesterday, making the tally at 1,153,344 and death toll at 19,046, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), said.
The official data showed that, 20,827 samples were tested in the last 24 hours, as of 8:00 a.m. local time, yesterday.
The total number of recovered patients in the country stood at 988,339, including 9,723 new recoveries yesterday, said the DGHS.
According to the official data, the COVID-19 fatality rate in Bangladesh is now 1.65 percent and the current recovery rate is 85.69 percent.
Bangladesh recorded the highest daily new cases of 13,768 on Jul 12, and the highest number of deaths of 231 on Jul 19.– NNN-BSS
