Jordan’s King Abdullah Departs For US On Working Visit

AMMAN, Jordan, March 9 (NNN-PETRA) – King Abdullah II of Jordan, on Saturday (today), left for Washington, DC, where he will hold a series of meetings with heads and members of the US Congress committees.

King Abdullah is also scheduled to hold meetings with a number of US administration officials.

The King’s visit, following the midterm elections in the US Congress, that took place last Nov, is in line with efforts to bolster strategic partnership between Jordan and the United States, and is aimed at discussing the latest regional developments, especially those connected to the Palestinian cause.

The Crown Prince, Hussein, was sworn in as Regent, in the presence of Cabinet members.– NNN-PETRA
