Caracas, March 7, 2019 (NNN- Prensa Latina) – Venezuela today declared persona non grata German ambassador, Daniel Martin Kriener, due to his recurrent acts of interference in the internal affairs of the country, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed in a statement.
The Venezuelan government considered ‘unacceptable that a foreign diplomatic representative exercises a public role more appropriate to a political leader, in clear alignment with the conspiracy agenda of extremist sectors of the opposition.

The text indicated that the ambassador’s activities contradict the criteria expressed by the German federal parliament’s own legal service, which described the position of the government of that European nation in the current political situation in Venezuela as an act of ‘illicit interference’ in internal affairs.

The authorities gave Kriener 48 hours period to leave the national territory, remembering that actions by foreign representatives that imply interference in matters of exclusive competence of the Venezuelan people and state will not be admitted.

Likewise, Caracas reiterated its willingness to maintain a relationship of respect and cooperation with all the governments of Europe, for which it will be indispensable that they adopt an attitude of constructive balance that, far from encouraging coup and violent courses, can facilitate a peaceful solution and dialogue among Venezuelan political actors.
