Ceremony Paying Homage To Huangdi Held In Huangling County, China’s Shaanxi

HUANGLING, China, April 6 (Bernama-AsiaNet) — A grand ceremony paying tribute to Huangdi, or the Yellow Emperor, the legendary ancestor of the Chinese nation, was held at the Mausoleum of the Yellow Emperor in Huangling county, Shaanxi province, on Sunday, which was also Tomb Sweeping Day. The worshiping ceremony was also held in Taiwan simultaneously, which was live among both sides.

Jointly held by the State Council’s Taiwan Affairs Office, its Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, the Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and Shaanxi’s provincial government, the annual event attracted many visitors to Huangling, where Huangdi is believed to have been buried.
