Pakistani Army Chief, U.S. Special Envoy Discuss Afghan Peace Process

ISLAMABAD, Mar 9 (NNN-APP) – Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa, yesterday met with visiting U.S. Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation, Zalmay Khalilzad, in Rawalpindi and discussed ongoing Afghan peace process, the Pakistani military said.

An army statement said, matters of mutual interest, regional security and ongoing Afghan reconciliation process were discussed during the meeting, at the army’s General Headquarters.

Khalilzad arrived in Pakistan yesterday, after he visited Afghanistan and Qatar.– NNN-APP
