Five Killed In A Shootout At North India’s Wrestling Training Centre

NEW DELHI, Feb 13 (NNN-PTI) – Five persons, including two female wrestlers, were killed and a couple of others injured, in a shootout late last night, in India’s northern state of Haryana, confirmed a local police.

The shootout happened at a wrestling training centre, inside a college in the state’s Rohtak city.

The accused is a wrestling coach and was said to be having a professional rivalry with one of the deceased, who too was a wrestling coach, at the same wrestling centre.

According to the local police, the accused opened indiscriminate fire inside the wrestling centre. A couple of days ago, the head coach, who is among the deceased, had warned the accused not to come to the centre on disciplinary grounds.

Immediately after carrying the shootout, the accused ran away from the spot and is still at large. The police are on the lookout to arrest him.– NNN-PTI
