GAZA, Palestine, Feb 28 (NNN-WAFA) – Israeli war jets attacked, on Wednesday night, with air-to-ground missiles, military posts belonging to the Islamic Hamas movement’s military wing, east of the southern Gaza Strip town of Khan Younis, security sources said.

The sources said that several missiles were fired at Hamas military facility, adding that, several explosions were heard in the area and the facility was destroyed, but no injuries were reported.

The Israeli air strikes on Hamas military facility came, shortly after Gaza activists released several arson balloons carrying explosives from the Gaza Strip into southern Israel, the Israeli army said in a press statement.

The statement said, one of the balloons exploded over one house, in southern Israeli area of Ashkol, causing damage to the house’s windows, no injuries were reported.

Meanwhile, the politburo chief of the Hamas movement, Ismail Haniyeh, returned to the Gaza Strip earlier on Wednesday, after Haniyeh and a senior Hamas delegation spent 24 days in Egypt.
