Cuba Condemns Accusation of Sponsoring Terrorism

HAVANA, Jan 13 (NNN-Prensa Latina) — Cuba condemned on Tuesday the recent accusation of sponsoring terrorism during a virtual meeting of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC).


In that regard, Cuba’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Anayansi Rodriguez denounced that the decision of the US government is a cynical and hypocritical act that seeks to undermine any possibility of establishing again bilateral relations.

During the 30th Meeting of National Coordinators of CELAC, convened virtually, Cuba’s representation stressed the importance of the mechanism of political agreement, the deputy minister informed on her Twitter account.

Likewise, she advocated the attachment to the founding principles, to consolidate consensus as a priority in 2021 and highlighted the validity of the Proclamation of Latin America and the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace.

At the meeting, the Work Plan for 2021 was approved within CELAC, the most representative forum in the region that brings together 33 countries of Latin America and the Caribbean, updated the director of Multilateral Political Affairs of the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mirta Granda.
