Singapore Reports 24 Imported COVID-19 Cases

SINGAPORE, Jan 5 (NNN-CNA) – Singapore’s Ministry of Health (MOH), reported 24 new COVID-19 cases yesterday, bringing the total confirmed cases in the country to 58,721.

All of the new cases are imported cases.

Yesterday, 10 more cases have been discharged from hospitals or community isolation facilities. In all, 58,497 have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospitals or community care facilities.

There are currently 67 confirmed cases, who are still in hospital. Of these, most are stable or improving, and one is in critical condition in the intensive care unit.

Furthermore, 128 people, who have mild symptoms, or are clinically well, but still test positive for COVID-19, are isolated and cared for at community facilities.

Altogether 29 people have died from complications due to the COVID-19 infection.– NNN-CNA
