Iran Closely Confronting U.S. Naval Forces In Gulf Waters: Commander

TEHRAN, Dec 12 (NNN-TASNIM) – Commander of the naval forces of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) said, Iran is closely confronting the United States in the Gulf.

“Today (yesterday), we are chest to chest with the American forces in regional waters, and if the enemy tries to disrupt the security of the region, we will stand against them,” Alireza Tangsiri said.

Speaking to the press, on the side-lines of a meeting with representative of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Tangsiri noted that, Iran will not allow its shipping industry to be damaged.

Tangsiri made these remarks, shortly after Washington announced the flying of two massive B-52 long-range bombers over the Gulf, in a short-notice round-trip mission, that U.S. officials said was a direct message of deterrence to Iran.– NNN-TASNIM
