Fifth Israeli Minister Tests Positive For COVID-19

JERUSALEM, Nov 10 (NNN-MA’AN) – Israeli Minister of Regional Cooperation, Ofir Akunis, tested positive for COVID-19, according to a statement by Akunis’ spokesperson, yesterday.

“The minister immediately entered quarantine at his home, in accordance with the health ministry’s instructions. He feels well and continues to manage the ministry’s affairs from home,” the statement said.

Akunis is the fifth Israeli minister who has tested positive for the virus, since the outbreak of the pandemic in the country in late Feb.

The Ministry of Regional Cooperation is responsible for promoting cooperation with the countries in the Mediterranean Basin, as well as, the Palestinian Authority.– NNN-MA’AN
