MADURO SAYS VENEZUELA-CHINA TIES WILL BE RAISED TO HIGHEST LEVEL

CARACAS, Sept 14 (NNN-PRENSA LATINA) -- Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro says elations with China will be raised to their maximum level with the signing of new agreements in strategic areas.

In a posting on his Twitter account Thursday, the president assured that both countries would formalize agreements in the economic, commercial, energy, financial, technological, communication, political, and cultural fields during his current working visit to China.

Maduro left here Wednesday for China with the aim of strengthening the bilateral agenda and deepening political, cultural, and diplomatic relations.

Venezuela will continue its path with China as one of its most important allies, the president assured minutes before leaving for Beijing, where the China-Venezuela Bilateral Joint Commission will be meeting.

Venezuelan Executive Vice-President Delcy Rodriguez, who headed the Venezuelan delegation at the meeting, assured that the meeting allowed consolidating the relationship for the benefit of both peoples.

As part of his agenda, Rodriguez met with the Chinese president of the Commission, He Lifeng, to analyze productive capacities and investments within the exchange that since 2001 has seen the establishment of more than 480 association agreements. -- NNN-PRENSA LATINA
