SAUDI CONDEMNS TERRORIST EXPLOSIONS IN BAHRAIN, EGYPT

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, Jun 19 (NNN-SPA) - Saudi Arabia Monday has strongly condemned the two terrorist explosions, that took place in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, and the Bahraini village of Al-Duraz, that inflicted fatalities and injuries among the security men.

An official source in the Saudi Foreign Affairs Ministry, reiterated the kingdom's solidarity with Bahrain and Egypt, against terrorism and extremism.

The source offered condolences to the families, the peoples and governments of both brotherly countries, wishing a speedy recovery for those injured.

In the Bahraini attack on Monday, an on duty policeman was killed and two others injured, in a terror explosion in the Al-Deraz village.

The Interior Ministry said an investigation was launched into the act of terror.

In the Cairo attack, terrorists targeted a police patrol in Al-Masoura neighbourhood, in the governorate of Al-Qatif, leaving one officer dead and two others injured.

The Cairo-based Al-Azhar issued a statement in which it condemned, in the strongest terms, such heinous acts, calling for all concerted efforts to combat the scourge of terrorism.-- NNN-SPA
