KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia April 21 (NNN-Bernama) - The Malaysia International Jewellery Festival (Spring Edition) is expected to draw up to 5,000 visitors during the four day exhibition, beginning today, said organiser MIJ Exhibition Sdn Bhd.

Marketing and Communication Officer Carmen Chong said the spring edition festival had attracted 30 exhibitors, of which more than 10 were from Japan, United Arab Emirates, Cambodia and China.

"This exhibition is for Malaysians to explore the jewellery industry further. It will also serve as a platform for jewellers to interact and exchange ideas.

"There are a lot of choices for visitors as the exhibition features both local and foreign jewellers with different designs ranging from affordable to high-end jewellery," she told reporters after the launch of the event here today.

Established in 1994, MIJ Exhibition is the first to organise an international jewellery exhibition in Malaysia.
