SUDAN'S OIL MINISTER WELCOMES MALAYSIA'S WISH TO BOOST INVESTMENT IN THE COUNTRY

KHARTOUM, July 21 (NNN-SUNA) -- Sudanese Minister of Oil Dr. Awad Ahmed Al-Jaz has welcomed the intention by Malaysia to expand its investments in the oil and gas sector in Sudan.

He said this here Thursday when a visiting Malaysian delegation, accompanied by the Malaysian Ambassador in Khartoum, called on him at his office.

Expressing his thanks to the delegation for making a visit to Sudan, he stressed that the doors of Sudan are open before all countries to invest in Sudan in the various economic spheres, while praising developments in Sudanese-Malaysian relations.

The Malaysian delegation affirmed its desire to invest in Sudan in the different economic fields, particularly oil and gas, and described investment opportunities in Sudan as attractive. It praised the successful experience of the Malaysian national oil corporation, Petronas, in Sudan. -- NNN-SUNA
