AT LEAST 32 KILLED, 128 INJURED IN SUICIDE ATTACK ON PROTESTERS IN AFGHANISTAN. A suicide attack on protesters in eastern Afghanistan on Tuesday killed at least 32 people, and wounded 128 officials said, as an uptick in violence across the war-torn country dampens hopes for peace talks and elections. The incident, the fourth attack to hit the region, took place around 1 pm, when an insurgent detonated the bomb he was carrying in his vest in the Momand Darah district, east of the provincial capital Jalalabad. A wave of violence across Afghanistan in recent weeks has claimed the lives of hundreds of civilians and members of the security forces, as the Taliban makes gains on the battlefield and IS launches deadly urban attacks.
