RESCUE MISSION IN JAPAN AFTER MISHAP INVOLVING TWO MARINE AIRCRAFT

Tokyo, Japan - Dec 6 A KC-130 tanker demonstrates refuels an F/A-18D while F-35B fighter jets fly in formation during the 42nd Maritime Self-Defense Force-Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni Friendship Day at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni in Yamaguchi Prefecture last May. Two U.S. Marine aircraft crashed early Thursday as search and rescue operations continued. A KC-130 midair refueling a tanker and an F/A-18 fighter jet, which was being refueled, were involved in the crash. Media reports said five crew members were aboard the tanker and two on the fighter.
