GUATEMALA RESCUERS RUSH TO FIND LAST VOLCANO ERUPTION SURVIVORS. Heavy machinery is used to clear part of the disaster zone caused by the Fuego Volcano eruption, in the ash-covered village of San Miguel Los Lotes, in Escuintla Department, about 35 km southwest of Guatemala City, Guatemala, on Jun 11, 2018. Scores of civil defence and rescue workers scrambled to try to find survivors of the deadly eruption more than a week on. In San Miguel Los Lotes, a mountain farming village, rescuers rushed to check for any ashes of the almost 200 people still unaccounted for after the still-smoking giant belched flames into the air and covered villages in molten rubble.
