LA PAZ, March 20 (NNN-Prensa Latina): The governments of Bolivia and Japan exchanged verbal notes Friday, paving the way for the Andean nation to take steps in its policy of environmental preservation.
According to a statement from the Foreign Ministry, the representatives of both nations formalized the donation of nearly five million dollars.
These funds will be used in implementing the project "Introduction of Clean Energy for Electricity Generation System Photovoltaics," says the text.
This cooperation from China have been based on the financial mechanism called "Cool Earth Partnership" (Cool Earth Partnership), which, providing cooperation to various countries around the world in its fight against harmful greenhouse emissions.
The aim of that project is to promote clean energy use, the document said.
With the implementation of this plan shall be run on solar panels, junction boxes, air conditioners and monitoring equipment.
The ceremony was attended by the Bolivian Foreign Minister David Choquehuanca and Japanese Ambassador in La Paz, Kazuo Tanaka.
