CARTHAGE, TUNISIA, March 11 (NNN-TAP) -- President Zine el Abidine Ben Ali of Tunisia has received a written message from Mauritanian President Mohamed Ben Abdelaziz.

The message was delivered to the president Alnaha Bint Meknes, Mauritania's Foreign Affairs and Co-operation Minister and special envoy of the Mauritanian president.

At the end of the meeting, Alnaha Bint Meknes said she was honoured to have been received by President Ben Ali, to whom she had extended the regards and fraternal feelings of his President Mohamed Ben Abdelaziz and his wishes for progress, prosperity and stability to the Tunisian people.

She added that the meeting had provided the opportunity to review some aspects of Tunisian-Mauritanian co-operation and to look at ways to develop and strengthen bilateral relations, in materialisation of the two leaders' political will, to serve the two brotherly peoples' interest. -- NNN-TAP
