TUNISIAN PRESIDENT RECEIVES INVITATION TO ATTEND ARAB SUMMIT IN LIBYA

CARTHAGE, TUNISIA, March 10 (NNN-TAP) -- President Zine el Abidine Ben Ali of Tunisia has received an invitation from Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi to attend the forthcoming Arab Summit due to be held in Libya.

This message was conveyed to the president here Tuesday by Moussa Koussa, the Secretary of Libya's General People's Committee of External Communication and International Co-operation and special envoy of Gaddafi to the Head of State.

The Libyan envoy said he had extended to President Ben Ali the regards of Gaddafi, adding that the meeting had provided the opportunity to review bilateral relations and several issues pertaining to the next Arab Summit.

The meeting was also attended by State Minister and Special Adviser of the President, the Official Spokesman for the Presidency and the High Representative of Libya in Tunis.
