BUENOS AIRES, Dec 7 (NNN-ANDINA) - Argentine entrepreneurs have signed purchase orders for Peruvian products totaling US$13 million during the Expo Peru business event in Buenos Aires on Dec 3-4, Peru's Trade and Tourism Minister Martin Perez said.
Minister Perez pointed out that the most demanded product was for the Peruvian clothing industry.
The amount exceeded the expectations of entrepreneurs and government representatives as sales of Peruvian products were higher than the total of sales occurred in the previous fair in Santiago de Chile.
"During October's Expo Perú in Santiago, we had 480 business meetings, which is a very important number, but more important we have secured US$11.5 million worth of purchase orders for Peruvian products such as textiles, jewelry, fishing products, among others," said he said.
He added that they had scheduled 562 business meetings between Peruvian and Argentine entrepreneurs, but expectations increased so the number of meetings reached 600. -- NNN-ANDINA
