FIRST BATCH OF SWINE FLU CASES IN THE GAZA STRIP

GAZA, Dec 7 (NNN-KUNA) -- The Ministry of Health of the dismissed authority in Gaza has announced the confirmation of first batch of swine flu cases in the Gaza Strip.

Gaza health official Dr Hassan Khalaf said at a news conference held here Sunday that five patients were diagnosed with the A/H1N1.

He called on the citizens in the Strip to be cautious and take the precautions needed to combat the disease, as well as report to the hospitals specially equipped to treat such cases.

Dr Khalaf affirmed availability of vaccines, tools and equipment needed to treat this disease, as well as a sufficient number of trained doctors.
